Christmas Card

Preston and I had this brilliant idea to be total opposite of everyone else and their christmas cards this year. We decided to spice it up a little bit and show our true personalities. What can I say? I have the hottest husband in the world! :)

Pretty positive we were meant for eachother. And believe it or not, we really sent these pictures out on a christmas card.

I love this time of year!!

I love this time of year! I love the food, the smell, the laughter, the warm clothes we get to wear and the service that we give or receive. My favorite part is that we get to spend time with our family! I love that everyone is so happy and that the little ones are so excited about Santa and are trying so hard to be good so that he will bring them something they have always wanted (and in a 4 year olds eyes something you have wanted only for 1 month seems like 10 years).
In November, Preston and I had thanksgiving dinner at my parents house and then dessert at his parents house. We had so much fun! I also learned how to make pies. I can not believe how much work you have to put into the pie crust and such a little work for the pie filling. Now I understand why people like to buy the pre-made pie crusts. It saves you so much time! Regardless of how much time I had to put into those pies, it was still fun and they turned out yummy. We also did black out friday, it was my first time doing it and oh my .... I am never doing it again! There were so many people! It was fun but I could barely keep my eyes open. We waited in line at bath and body works for 45 minutes! People are nuts! :)
Jordan came to our house for the weekend. He has had a countdown for Preston's birthday (December 5) and since he was at our house the weekend before Preston's birthday, he decided that he wanted to throw Preston a surprise party. We sent Preston upstairs and told him to do his homework. Meanwhile, we were in the kitchen and made him a birthday cake, a birthday card and wrapped his present. Jordan bought him a can of Cherry Coke Zero. It was so cute! He's such a good boy. So we turned off all the lights and hid. I called Preston and told him to come down stairs and of course once he walked in the room we yelled "SURPRISE!!" Jordan was so excited!! He is the best friend anyone could ever ask for!
This last weekend we went to the snow college football game in sandy. They won so it made Preston super happy. After that we went to Red Robin with his family for his birthday dinner. We went to the house after and had cake and ice cream. We had a blast! His birthday was on sunday, so we didn't do too much. I made Preston breakfast and had him open his present. We went to church and our cute primary class made a HUGE deal about his birthday. You could tell that Preston really loved that. After church we took it easy and then met my family in Layton at Red Lobster for his birthday dinner. We had so much fun!! I am so grateful to have been blessed with such an awesome family (both mine and prestons). All of them have been so supportive of everything Preston and I do. I love them so much!!

 Happy Birthday Preston!!!

I love fall....

Fall was so much fun! I am kind of sad to see it go. We did so much! We were lucky enough to spend alot of time with family, esp my grandparents. For those of you who don't know, my Grandpa was diagnosed with cancer over a year ago. When they gave him the diagnosis, they told him that he had 3-6 months to live. Well, Grandpa being the crazy man he is, has beat the odds! He is still here and is happy as ever! He had a goal to try and make it to our wedding (which meant more than words could ever express) and then he made another big goal to make it until his and grannies 60th anniversary. Well he did it! Grandma went to the temple for her first time at the Logan, Utah Temple before they got married. They wanted to recreate their memories and come to the logan temple. Well, they gave Preston and I a call and asked if we would join them, my reply was "HECK YA WE WILL!". So Preston and I cleared our schedule and spent the day with Grandma and Grandpa. After the temple they wanted to eat at The Blue Bird. 60 years ago they ate there before Grandma went to the temple for her first time. We had an amazing time!! So much fun! We laughed until our sides got sore. Even my cheeks hurt from laughing so hard!

Jordan likes to come visit us once a month and spend the weekend. We love him so much!

Looks like I have competition. The lady in the blue skirt told Preston that he is SO sexy... esp when he is wet! LOL! Why I oughta :)

 Preston is the sweetest man I know. He woke up at 6 a.m on my birthday and made this cake. He woke me up, sang happy birthday and had me blow out the candles before he went to school. How did I ever get so lucky?!

 My family surprised me in Ogden for a birthday dinner. It was the best surprise ever!

I got Punk'd

So I was on my lunch break yesterday and just happened to be driving home. I heard my phone ring, looked at it, saw my husband Preston's picture pop up and was a little confused because he was supposed to be in class. So I picked it up already thinking something was wrong.
Me: "Hello?"
"Hi Schonie." (in a weird deep voice)
Me: "Hi, is everything ok?"
"Ya."
Me: "Ok, you're lying. What's wrong" (it didn't sound like Preston and I've never seen or heard him cry so I just imagined that something had happened and he was really upset)
"Ya. What are you doing? I miss you."
Me: "Preston don't lie to me. What's going on?!"
I hear heavy breathing almost like someone is laughing in a deep man voice. Then I hear "Schonie, it's Whitney. I will call you back."
It just so happens that my little sister, Whitney, downloaded an app on her phone that changed her voice. She could enter my number in the phone and then make it look like Preston was calling me by entering his number in it as well. I about died laughing!! She is such a little stinker. Kinda creepy to think that they have such a thing that can change your voice and your phone number though?!

We have a blog!

We finally have a blog! I have always wanted one, just never had the time to actually sit down and get it started. Well, tonight Preston is at school and I have nothing to do so I figured this would be a perfect time to start. There is always so much going on in our life and I think this could be a fun way to share everything that is going on with us. Right now we are living in Logan, Utah. Logan is a fun but cold place to live. It's also small... really small. I have been told that it is a pretty large city compared to some but I grew up in Salt Lake my whole life so this city is tiny to me! It drives me crazy that there isn't a Tai Pan or Rod Works, even though not having these stores here does help us save some money. :) But it is a nice place. We live in student housing and have such a cute little neighborhood. We love our neighbors and our ward. Preston esp loves it because we are only 1 minute away from the football field. Preston is going to school full time at Utah State, working part time and doing alot of volunteer hours at the hospital. His goal is to graduate 2011 and apply for Medical School. I am so proud of him! He is such a hard worker not only in school and work, but in everything he does. I am so blessed to be married to such an amazing man. He has changed my life for the better and I have no idea where I would be without him. He is my best friend. Back to logan, I am working full time right now for CETC where I work with handicap adults. I am their job coach so I help them find a job and keep it. It is the most rewarding job I have ever had! Every day is a new day with them. They are so kind and loving. Oh and loads of FUN! I am wanting to get my Medical Assisting License, so I am patiently waiting to get into a program here at the school so I can get my license. They say that I should be in by January so cross your fingers for me. Anyway, that is about all I can think about right now. I am so excited to finally have this! I think this will be alot of fun.
